Success doesn't come to you, you've got to go to it.” – Marva Collins.

Writing Workshop, we are in our first unit of study called 'personal narrative' and are looking at developing small moment stories. Students will identify one thing to write about. They will keep the narrative in one place and one time. In order to expand their writing students will try different ways to hook their reader.

  • learn and use various strategies to decode words
  • understand how to read with a partner
  • retell for comprehension
