In Writing Workshop, students will use the opinion model to write a
letter to the other class about a book that they enjoyed reading and give them
reasons to convince them to read it too.
In Reading Workshop, we will be
continuing with our unit Bigger Books Mean Amping Up Reading. Our
readers learn to read and keep a track of the longer books by jotting down
notes, slowing down, rereading and asking questions.
In Math, students will be reviewing Unit 6 of math and will be taking
the Unit 6 assessment.
In STEM, our current unit is “Pebbles, Sand and Silt”,
we will read and understand the story of sand.
Happy learning!
Reminders
The
coming weeks are scheduled for a number of special events.
February
2nd-6th 2020: Health & Wellness Week
All
students should wear tennis shoes, their P.E. uniform pants and polo shirts
each day next week.
Wednesday,
February 13th 2020: 100 Day Celebration!
Omg,
can’t believe it is already been 100 days in school this year!
Elementary
student creativity will shine, as they carry or wear
self-made
projects which represent the number 100. Mothers
(or
female family members) will be welcome to attend the Elementary parade
from 7:30 am - 8:00 am.
Looking
forward to seeing lots of interesting, creative ideas on
Thursday!
Hmmm I wonder what I should do!?!
