Week In Photos

In Writing Workshop, students will use the opinion model to write a letter to the other class about a book that they enjoyed reading and give them reasons to convince them to read it too.

In Reading Workshop, we will be continuing with our unit Bigger Books Mean Amping Up ReadingOur readers learn to read and keep a track of the longer books by jotting down notes, slowing down, rereading and asking questions.

In Math, students will be reviewing Unit 6 of math and will be taking the Unit 6 assessment.

In STEM, our current unit is “Pebbles, Sand and Silt”, we will read and understand the story of sand.

In Social Studies, Grade 2 is learning about the expectations of how to act in one’s own culture and compare this with behavioral expectations of other cultures.

Happy learning!

Elementary student creativity will shine, as they carry or wear
self-made projects which represent the number 100. Mothers
(or female family members) will be welcome to attend the Elementary parade from 7:30 am - 8:00 am.
